Green Bay Packers -- CHAMPIONS!!!

Today was the Superbowl party. It was pretty cool because my brother-in-law, my dad, David, Suky and me have been planning this since the beginning of the season... and it was particularly great for me because I have been a Green Bay Packer fan since my father explained to me the in-and-outs of the game and I decided (I was about 15 or 16...) that if I was going to follow the sport I was to have a team that was NOT the Cowboys... so I saw that the fans wore a cheese on their heads... plus their quarterback was extremely cute (Bret Favre) ... and I have been a packer fan ever since... even more than I have been a Favre Girl. Anyway, the point here is that for the first time in a looooooong time, MY team was at the big game.

We had hot wings, burgers, guacamole, tostaditas, beer, and dip. It was your typical SB fest, without the nagging wife or kids. The half-time show was NOT what I expected it to be... it was rather LAME. But who cares! For those of us who were actually interested in the game, it was exciting and for those of you who watched it for the commertials, tough luck! They were also not quite as good as previous years (MY personal favorite one still is Cat Herding from EDS) This year, however, the commertial that I thought was cute was the Darth Vader kid...

.... but I think this one is pretty funny as well...

But the important thing is that the Pack won vs Steelers... now, as my good friend Ofelia said... "fierro viejo que vendaaaa..."

The One and Only....

So yesterday's Packers vs Vikings game was AWESOME! It was one of the best Monday Night Football games I have seen in several years. Amongst it all, the Vikings came out victorious with a 30 - 23 score over the Pack.

Yes, my heart is breaking.

On one side, I am bummed that my team, the Packers lost to their arch-rival, the Vikings. On the other hand, I am glad that at least Favre went all "in yo' face sucka!" with the Packers directory and chairpeople who casted him aside after last season. PLUS, he has become the only quarterback in NFL to have the distinction of beating ALL the NFL teams. How cool is that?

So, yeah. I'm a packer fan -- but I'm also a Favrette. What can I say?

Welcome to yet another installment of this blog, brought to you by yummy tacos that they sell on the corner of my home.

This week: 16 de Septiembre. We have no school. Yes, oh yes! Half a week of work!

Over the weekend we had the Office Reunion Special. All we were missing was Tenshi. We even had a semi-guest appearance by Cheque via phone. We didn't answer -- he wanted someone to pick him up. He works now... yes, that's correct. No type-o. He ACTUALLY works...

To see the guys was good in many, MANY ways. But father was right when he told me that now we can talk about the past, and laugh as we have memories to remember. Think of how bad it would have been if I stayed 100% in vet school. I mean, true that I would have other memories, but I bet my ass that they wouldn't have been as exciting or wacked-up as the ones I have right now. I have definitely missed the guys and hope to see them again soon. More info on this reunion (and the after party) at my personal journal, placed on top of my mantle.

NFL season begun.. WOOOOT!!! PACKERS WON!!! IN YO' FACE BEARS!!!
