A Cute Kitty Story...

This is Guillotina, AKA Guille. This is my friend Suky's eldest pet-daughter. Her youngest is Cendra Esther de la Concepcion del Mal...... AKA Cendrita. She's the grey cat on the right, looking at the camera with her alien-like face. Both cats were preggers almost at the same time and both cats are now the proud moms of a bunch of kittens. Unfortunatelly, out of 4 kittens, Guille has been left with one, the one you see in the picture that looks like a miniature version of the momma. Cendrita had 4 kittens, and at first she gave out the impression that she didn't want them, but she has turned out a pretty ok mom. But, I ramble. The story I am about to write here has been told by my friends Suky and David this morning. I just had to share 'coz (a) it's my blog, (b) I want to, and (c) you know you'll read on.

Guille is very possessive of her kitten. Suky has taken it to her bed and there goes Guille, all worry wort about her kid. She takes it by the neck and carries it back to the nest. The kitten (who has been gracefully been given the name of La Guilla or Minnie-guille) is also a momma's kitten: as soon as Guille leaves the nest, the kitten starts bellowing for her as if dear life depended upon it. No longer the cute little meows of a baby kitten, they are now a banshee calling for her mate kind of deal. Minnie Guille has opened her little eyes and is now in the process of standing on her own two feet... but, I rant again. The story takes place yesterday afternoon, when Suky and David decided to see if Cendrita was the same worry wort kind of mom that Guille was.

So they took one of Cendrita's kittens. They took it to the bedroom and the kitten started calling out for mommy. As Suky said, "it sounded like a sonic boom, the running from the nests to the bedroom".... but it was not Cendrita. It was Guille, who practically FLEW to the rescue! She grabs the kitten and carries it to HER nest. Cendrita is just in her own thing, looking at everyone with not a care in the world, feeding her kittens. Suky takes the kitten before Guille starts to clean it and places it back with Cendra, who cleans it and tugs it to feed. They take the kitten that LOOKS like Cendrita and take it to the bedroom. Again, the kitten cries and it's Guille to the rescue! Same deal, takes it back to her nest... and again, they take it away and place it back with momma...

So Guille is now suffering from the empty nest syndrome. She does have ONE kitten but I think she needs more... and Cendrita is playing it cool... because that's her style!
